How did KFC Start - The History of KFC
The fast food outlet known today as KFC began back in the 1930s when Harland Sanders (born September 9, 1890) began serving
fried chicken to the sponsors of his station in Corbin. He didn't have a
restaurant of his own, but still served people on his own dining table in the
quarters of his station. Thereafter, the fast-food outlet grew and moved
across the street to a motel and restaurant. In 1935, he was recognised of his
contributions to the state, Governor Ruby Laffoon made him a Kentucky Colonel. Which led to the beginning of Kentucky Fried Chicken
