The very first Franchise

In 1952 Pete Harman became the first KFC franchise, with a store in the Salt Lake City. 1950, at the age of 65, the Colonel sold the Corbin location and went on to make Franchise business. And then in 1965 he sold the outlet to a group of investors, that include John Y. Brown Jr and Jack Massey for $2 million. The Colonel still continued on as a spokesman for the company. Which went public by 69, and then was sold to the Heublein Inc. In the age of 71 when he died in the 1980s.
